About Burley Park Community Association

Burley Park Community Association is organised and run by the people of Burley, for the people of Burley, and those who work, play and visit here.

We are a friendly and welcoming group of residents who care about Burley, and want to make it an even better place to spend time in.

Area covered:
The BPCAA (Burley Park Community Association Area) is the geographical area covered by the Association.  It runs northwest to southeast and is roughly leaf-shaped.  The western boundary runs from the railway bridge at the top of
St Ann's Lane down along Burley Road as far as the railway bridge at the bottom of Burley Park.  The eastern boundary is naturally delineated by the railway line, from the railway bridge at the top of St Ann's Lane, down to the railway bridge over Burley Road at the bottom of Burley Park.

Our aims:
1. To serve and protect this much-loved community;
2. To promote mutual respect and understanding amongst all who use the Area;
3. To support initiatives which encourage social inclusion, goodwill and neighbourliness within the Area;
4. To assist in crime prevention and awareness;
5. To maintain a good balance between owner-occupied housing and private rented housing;
6. To stimulate diverse and widespread local involvement in the creative development of this Area;
7. To share and develop community resources that will enrich the lives of people across the Area and beyond;
8. To encourage care for the environment across the Area.
